Strangers stop her constantly, she told OK! — some wanting to send love to her father, others eager to tell her about a relative living with the same condition. She described FTD as “a rampant illness that has never been talked about.” Over the past couple of years, she said, the family has felt an “outpouring of love” from the public.
In a video posted August 24 to her own Instagram page as a paid partnership with Function Health, she described what that loss feels like day to day. “I really miss my dad. I miss a different version of who he was… There are some days that are just so hard. I try to prioritize being present with where he’s at now. The truth is, to be strong is learning to deal with both things at the same time,” she said.
Her remarks came in connection with her partnership with Function, a health membership whose offerings run to more than 160 lab tests along with imaging and specialized assessments.
